On getting the film Abhilash says,” I had performed a gag when director Amit Sharma was in Delhi to promote his movie ‘Tevar’ along with the cast. He loved the performance and we exchanged numbers. Out of the blue I got a call one day and he told me that I am doing a movie, apparently he had recommended me to Aleya, the Director of ‘Makhna’ and she thought I fit the bill.”
Abhilash continues,” I play Prashant, Sumit (Saqib’s) best friend in the film. Prashant is a stereotypical Delhi boy – loud and tacky. His sole aspiration in life is to become a property dealer. Sumit, on the other hand, is a gym trainer and wants to make it big in Bollywood. Sumit shares his life with Prashant. But a major twist changes everything in their life.”
Directed by Aleya Sen, ‘Makhna’ is produced by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment and Films Ltd and is slated to release this year(2017).
