The 5th Annual Ghanta Awards was a great success this year. It was the 5th consecutive year for the hilarious and wacky Ghanta Awards, a show dedicated to appreciate and acknowledge  the  lesser  than  good  stuff  of Bollywood.  INvision Entertainment Pvt ltd etched the ‘wall of shame’ with Bollywood’s popular as well as not so celebrated names. The much awaited award night finally rocked the stage on March 8, 2015 at J.W.Marriot, Mumbai.

This year’s Ghanta Awards saw some happy faces including Arshad Warsi,Maria Goreti, Shruti Seth,Archana Puran Singh, Parmeet Pethi,  Vikrant Massy, Mini Mathur, VJ Bani and Shweta Gulati. After the success of the 5th Ghanta Awards it is going to be back on public demand on the 4th of April 2015 at St. Andrews Auditorium.

The pun-packed ‘Ghanta Awards’ is a live show fuelled by online voting by the audience. A panel of witty and distinguished judges along with the exciting online voting system recognizes the worst of Bollywood every year.

The audience got to vote 14 categories representing the worst of Bollywood. Online voting went on till the eve of the grand night. Categories including Worst Actor, Worst Film, Worst Director, Wtf Was That and many more gave the audience the satisfaction of expressing their regret for watching this stuff, all in good humour offcourse!

The genius who brought it all together with a sumptuous experience of 18 years isthe visionary Mr. Gagan Takyar – Director of INvision Entertainment Pvt Ltd expresses, “It is indeed our pleasure to host the grand Season  5 of The Ghanta Awards. As a property, we have evolved over the years in terms of our offering to the crème de la creme of the city. In Season 5, we are stepping up to showcase the superlatives in creativity showing ‘the worst of the worst’ of Bollywood receive the famously infamous Ghanta Awards with a mesmerizing experience which is bound to be one of the history creators for the Bollywood scene in Mumbai.’’

Partner Jinesh Shah also adds, “The audience is maturing year by year and people from metros as well as smaller cities are appreciating this kind of humour. Few years back this show was a very niche concept but gradually it is catching on! We are hoping for a larger response in the years to come and for that we are reaching out to more and more people through different mediums.”

The vibrant Shruti Seth who has been a part of this event’s marketing since the past three years exclaims, “I was terribly excited about the event. Firstly, we were sold out, which is a great thing and it is like a sign that people are enjoying themselves rather than being offended. The guys as always put up a hilarious show on stage. We also announced the date for our next show in April for the people who missed tonight’s event.”

A raving reciprocation of gusto and excitement from the audience as well as celebrities made this year’s Ghanta’s quite the hit!
