The tasteful 5 relocates to a new address, with a neighbourhood-feel elegant restaurant and a contemporary all day bar
Last evening, the city witnessed a grand opening of 5 – The Restaurant that promises to get bigger, better and bolder with a touch of epicurean finesse in its second spell to re-kindle taste buds. Opened in the by-lanes of Khar, the new 5 offers a progressive, casual dining experience and comfort gourmet cuisine. The vibe was pleasing and light-hearted; with a scrumptious food and bar night that swept hearts of many.
Those present at the evening were Rannvijay, Sanjay Gupta, Rohit & Manasi Roy, Parveen Dabbas & Preeti Jhangiani, Daboo & Vickey Ratnani, Naved Jaffrey and Shibani Kashyap who mesmerised the crowd with her scintillating vocals.
The kitchen offers a contemporary rendition of European cuisine; wherein global favourites are infused with fresh local and seasonal ingredients. The menu of new 5 boasts of a delectable array of soups, salads, bar bites and desserts alongside the main course which offers many a hearty option.
Featuring a stylish bar that accentuates rustic decor, offbeat lighting, decorative displays and artwork, the contemporary all day bar blends spotlessly with the restaurant’s thoughtful interiors. A great selection of beers, wines, fresh cocktails, margaritas and spirits, the new 5 is an ideal place for a laid back’ beer lunch, a get together after work or for a relaxed evening of jazz, sangrias and canapés.

5- The Restaurant has been planned as a 55-seater restaurant, with a seating capacity in the inside section, and 12 in the outside area. Complimentary accompaniment in the form of fresh breads & herb butter, shell pasta with pickled zucchini, and Dijon mustard & cream sauce, are served at each table.
