Glamour and style donned the runway at the 4th Annual Glitterati Fashion show held at Treasures Island Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. A 250 strong audience attended the event in support of the Akshay Patra Foundation. The event charity cum fashion event was organized and sponsored by Anamika & Saurabh Tara, who chair the local Akshaya Patra Chapter in Las Vegas. “Each year at Glitterati our goal is to increase awareness for this great cause. This time, we presented exceptional performances from America’s Got Talent top participants. Along with this a dance and fashion extravaganza was presented by leading names, fashion designer Asif Shah who travelled all the way from India”, said Anamika Tara event Organizer and sponsor.
Asif Shah, leading Bollywood fashion designer in India presented his collection with a glamorous fashion show. The collection caters to the modern Indian women of 21st century who love to travel.
Shah’s work is inspired by the ‘Raja-Maharaja’ culture of Madhya Pradesh to which he belongs. Having established himself in the Indian Fashion Industry he has garnered the recognition of being a strong menswear designer. “My next step is to help people just like we are doing today for Akshay Patra and this has got nothing to do with business” said Shah who wants to put Madhya Pradesh and the Indian Fashion Industry at the global level.

A non-profit founded in the year 2000 runs school lunch programs across India. The organization distributes freshly cooked, healthy meals daily to 1.3 million underprivileged children in 9,000 government schools through 19 technologically advanced regional kitchens. Akshay Patra has been recently recognized at 24th position in the Global 100 NGO rankings in 2013.
