GAS showcases the bright hues of its Spring Summer 2013 collection in association with Le Pain Quotidien (LPQ)

GAS – the international premium luxury denim wear brand showcased its new range of Spring Summer ’13 collection, inspired from the classics, in association with the famous Belgian artisanal boulangerie kitchen Le Pain Quotidien in Mumbai. GAS Spring Summer 2013 collection is an incredible array of bright colors giving homage to spring and bringing alive the brand’s new look that is both casual and dressy.

 Men SS'13

Colored denims are a large part of the GAS SS’13 collection, starting from classic grey denims and exploring new directions. Denim fabrics colored inside and grey outside as a result of intense washes for the women’s range and lighter ones for the men’s, create chiaroscuro effects and unusual color nuances that go from acid green to teal, mauve and wisteria blue.

Women SS'13

The new collection mainly consists of medium to medium light shades treated with sandpapering and light washes to give a “raw used” look that is fluid and pleasing to the touch, or heavier but still discreet and sophisticated treatments with darns and mends that use tone on tone yarns, patches, color spots and dirtying.

The basis of the entire range is experimentation with all the shades of indigo. A large part of the

range is a homage to GAS blue. A fabric in a very deep, intense, almost Indian ink blue, is given treatments of varying intensity from raw to a strong wash that gives brilliant colors, particularly in the women’s range.

About LPQ:

Le Pain Quotidien, “the daily bread” in French, was founded in 1990 as an artisanal boulangerie kitchen by Chef Alain Coumont in Brussels, Belgium. Frustrated by the lack of old-world, quality bread in the city, he decided to go back to making rustic loaves using traditional recipes. LPQ is known for it’s distinctive farmhouse decor and central communal tables which evoke the timeless charm of the Belgian countryside. Today, LPQ is a thriving community of more than 180 boulangerie kitchens that are enjoyed in neighbourhoods in over 19 countries. Each boulangerie kitchen serves soups, salads, hot and cold tartines (open-faced sandwiches), entrees, desserts, homemade drinks, beers and wines, along with specialty dishes inspired by pantry items from all over the world, using fresh, wholesome, and locally sourced ingredients. A wide selection of breads – wheat, rye, five-grain, flute, baguettes, brioche, croissants, muffins, and more – is baked daily. In Mumbai, LPQ is open from 8am to midnight for breakfast, brunch, lunch, happy hours and dinner, and offers takeout items. For more information on LPQ, please visit
