Vikram Bhatt’s next venture ‘Hate Story’ under his banner BVG Films (A division of ASA Productions and Enterprises) is a journey of hatred and brutal vengeance.

Hate Story is directed by Vivek Agnihotri whose credits include ‘Chocolate’ as well as the first Bollywood football film ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal’.

The movie stars Nikhil Dwivedi, Gulshan Devaiah of the critically acclaimed ‘Shaitan’ fame and Bengali beauty Paoli Dam who will be debuting in Bollywood with this film.

Paoli has a body of work in Bengali films and she came into prominence by winning accolades for her performance in Bengali film ‘Kaalbela’. The actress was also awarded Shera Bangali New Face 2009 for having brought Bengal in the national as well as international limelight.

The Story of the film revolves around Kaavya (Paoli Dam) and her transformation from a simple middle class journalist to a sex worker and her revenge where she is exploited both professionally and sexually.

Kaavya, a journalist, hits jackpot by publishing a conspiracy scoop about a well known cement company. It is because of this that the owner of the company Siddharth Dhanrajgir (Gulshan Devaiah) hires her to exploit her both professionally and sexually, only to get back at her for ruining his company’s name. Thus begins the journey of hatred and brutal vengeance, with Kaavya’s attempts to wipe out Siddharth Dhanrajgir completely!

This affects everyone around Kaavya, including her family and her best friend, Vicky (Nikhil Dwivedi) who secretly loves her.

The story and screenplay has been penned by Vikram Bhatt himself and the dialogues are written by Rohit Malhotra. The action sequence of the film has been done by Abbas Ali Moughal.

The melodious soundtrack of the film has been given by music composer Harshit Saxena whereas the lyrics have been penned by Kumar  

The movie also stars Joy Sen Gupta, Saurabh Dubey, Irawati Harshe and Mohan Kapoor.
