Iconic Film- Maker Anurag Kashyap Hosts The 1st Ever Jameson Cult Film Club Party In Mumbai

Entering its 17th year, the Jameson Empire Awards is the only film awards to be voted for entirely by film fans. This year, the awards have a distinct Indian flavor as India’s premier director and writer –Anurag Kashyap, known for his edgy and iconic film productions, is the special guest at the glitzy high-profile ceremony in London on March 23, 2012. Anurag Kashyap hosted the first ever Jameson Cult Film Club party in Mumbai today at Trilogy along with announcing the two shortlisted winners of the Jameson Done in Sixy Seconds contest.Commenting on the association of Jameson Empire Awards with Mr. Anurag Kashyap, Bikram Basu – Vice-President Marketing, Pernod Ricard India said, “Films are an integral part of the Jameson brand world since 1998. The association started with the critically acclaimed Jameson Short Film Award. It is a great honor for us to have Anurag Kashyap, to represent the Indian film industry at the Jameson Empire Awards in London this year.”
The Jameson Empire Award is an accolade bestowed by Jameson and Empire, Britain’s biggest selling film magazine, to recognize excellence of professionals in the local and global film industry.
The readers of the Empire magazine will vote for the awards and the winners will be awarded in an annual ceremony – the Jameson Empire Awards on March 23, 2012 in London.
The first awards ceremony was held on 1996, to honor outstanding film achievements of the 1995 film season. The most recent ceremony was held at Grosvenor House Hotel on March 27, 2011.
